Mutation Records refer to the change of title ownership in the revenue records after a property transaction, inheritance, gift, or court order. These records are essential to establish the current lawful owner of the land. They also ensure the new owner is liable for paying land revenue. Mutation entries are maintained separately for different periods:

  • 1965–2004 (available mostly in manual format)
  • 2004–2020 (digitized or semi-digitized records)

Documents Needed

  • Property details: Survey number, village, taluk, district
  • Registered deed (sale, gift, will, etc.)
  • Applicant ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN, etc.)
  • Previous mutation or Khata copy (if available)

Timeline

  • Manual (1965–2004): 7–15 working days
  • Digital (2004–2020): 3–7 working days
