A Conversion Certificate (also known as DC Conversion Order) is an official approval granted by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) to convert land from agricultural use to non-agricultural/residential/commercial use. It is mandatory for property owners who want to develop or sell plots for non-agricultural purposes, especially in urban and semi-urban areas.

Documents Needed

    • Copy of Registered Sale Deed
    • RTC (Record of Rights) / Pahani
    • Latest Tax Paid Receipt
    • Survey Map / Sketch
    • Zonal Certificate from Planning Authority (if applicable)
    • NOC from various departments (as per local rules)
    • ID proof of applicant
    • Affidavit and other standard documents

Timeline

      • 30 to 90 working days* (depending on jurisdiction and case complexity)
